My Approach To Therapy

At the heart of my approach to therapy is a deep respect for each client’s individuality. Even when people come to therapy with similar concerns, their experiences, histories, and the meanings they attach to those experiences may be very different. For this reason, I do not believe therapy can be reduced to a standardized method. It begins with listening carefully and seeking to understand the person behind the concerns.

I aim to create a space where you can speak openly, reflect thoughtfully, and feel genuinely heard. The therapeutic relationship is central to this process. My role is not simply to offer knowledge or advice, but to think carefully with you about what emerges in therapy. I bring clinical experience, curiosity, and presence to this work while supporting you in developing greater self-understanding, trust in your own inner wisdom, and confidence in making choices that feel right for you.

While symptoms can be very distressing and deserve empathy, they also provide important information about what may no longer be working in a person’s life. Understanding what they may be expressing is valuable in clarifying what needs attention. It creates the potential for a new way of being that feels more authentic, balanced, and fulfilling.

If you have an interest in dreams, you are also welcome to explore them in sessions and learn how they can be worked with to deepen self-awareness. Dreams can offer perspectives not previously considered, helping to illuminate new ways forward.
